'Thats sounds...fasinating!...'

The Play was Awesome!!!! Ok obviously the entire day was great with all those cool people. But. But, the play was the highlight. The heat of course was unbearable. But we managed backstage with a couple fans. Okay, so if you were not there than you obviously won't find anything amusing about this post till you get the story behind it. So thats what I'm starting now. We got there ('there' as in the theatre) at 9 o'clock. Bright and early. Yargh. Too early to be socializing. Let alone actually acting. lol. Anyways the morning was a blur of costume checks, the finishing touches on the set and the back stage prep. Lunch was....amusing.....first there was the regular chair stealing routine. Then came the food, chat, and laughs. gosh! lol. I think I have the best little group of friends there ever! Well namely the closest four in 'my' group. Keith, Kathleen(KD), Kathleen and Me. So as usual Keith was trying to get food off ppl. Namely my sister. Telling her that her apple juice smelled good and that not sharing chips would be unfair. When at one point he was trying to convince Kathleen(L) that due to his good looks he should get the food he says "I'm just going to stand here and be handsome and convince you that I should get the chips." Well that was pretty funny considering what Keith said and did his cool like stance shift. So KD starts laughing really hard. to the point she could barely breathe and was half hiccuping/half gasping so she had to leave and go and try to stop laughing but a bunch of ppl thought she was crying and that was even funnier so was laughin twice as hard! KD and I finally went back and by that time Kathleen and Keith were having their own conversation, so KD and I started our own and we were laughing and K2 wanted to know what we were talking about. (We are quite the laughable-affable bunch.) Then we were eating some more since Keith had effectivly stolen KD's seat went she went off to laugh and was now beside Kathleen stealing chips and the 'good smelling' apple juice. Kathleen soon announced she had brought strawpple sauce-she wasn't even in on that joke-lol and then i found out that i had peach-apple sauce and KD soon informed us all that it was now people(sry thats peapple sauce) sauce....BIG joke...'its sorta like you had to be there...' anyways then came some run throughs (of the entire play) those were crazy fun! Though it was emensly hot back stage....Ryan and Mike that wasn't needed....=/ anyways we got through it a couple times practicing all the little details encluding projection.......then we had to go downstairs and get make up on and eat dinner....I ended up eating dinner and not getting make up done till like last minute. Then we had to figure out what to do with my hair that would a)look good b) hide the frizz c)get together quickly considering the play was due to start in like 10 minutes. I ended up with some awesome side braid. I don't even know, I never knew what my hair was done in. lol. Anyways so the whole cast and a few of the crew got to stand in the stifling hot backstage, while my mom stood out on the stage and intro-ed the play. Yes Keith I really did mean all I said in those last 2 seconds before the play started. During the first scene I was shocked at the audience participation. But it help most greatly. so after our awesome play which I messed up with my wrong entrances and exits and watnot. Anyways after bows we were like running down the stairs and when we got down there we were like dancing around going crazy, hug fest!! Haha **high five** Keith that was some awesome pilot hug spin move.lol! Anyways than we hung out at dairy queen and got stamped. You had to be there to know. And I almost got the stamper....yarg! The cheering was quite helpful Jen. lol. The second performance went muchly the same but we did this flowers thingfor our totally awesome directors. Sorry not really 'we' but Kathleen D. and Brittni. that was great guys! Than we did our whole jumping around thing again. and then well us Lairds had to leave so we could go to Marineland the next day. Bright and early. Yargh. So we missed the party at wendys but I needed my sleep! lol. And I will report on the party on my next post cuz this is getting rather lengthy since its been in drafts for a while and I have to go through the whole thing for grammer/spelling check.

NATIONAL KEITH DAY

ALERT TO ALL PEOPLE WHO GO TO CO-OP THURSDAY IS NATIONAL KEITH DAY AND THEREFORE WE WILL BE CELEBRATING JOYOUSLY WITH OUT VERY SPECIAL, KEITH.

HEYY KEITH...ARN'T I BRIGHT?

Today

Today. So far it has been extremely amusingly random. Last night, I was in dire need of reading material. Unable to find such a thing, I was left with but one thing to do. Read Gordon Korman books. If any of you at one point or another has read any of these books you may understand (it really depends on if you read the funny ones...or the gripping one or, or, the boring ones...really depends). If you have read The Island Trilogy you would know that no matter how juvenile and convenient it is. They are still gripping. And best read in rapid succession. One after the other. Considering I started around 12:30 at night I was shocked to be wrapped up in the three books till 4:00 in the morning. So then I slept till 10. I was wakened by my mother and then dozed for perhaps 45 minutes or so before finally getting up to do some stuff. Then I had a McLaird. BIG Inside Joke! McDonalds-McLairds....do the logic...they are similar but I have to say the second is more appetizing. ;D

Than I went outside and helped my dad put the screen doors on. Then I sat around and topped bulbs. Don't ask. Then I had lunch and did the papers and now? Well now is here and well Now and I have nothing other say other than Mal....hehe.....Mrs. Batman :D :D :D :D :D :D and I'm inputting a story i was supposed to write like 4 months ago...I think I may post it...Wait, Wait lemme get you a tease ;)

Couldnt find any intruging already input pieces so I choose some random one.

"Hurry up!" exclaimed Leigh eagerly as she bounded out of the car and rushed onto the campsite.
"This is site number 298? Yup, this is ours!" Announced Misha Watts
"What's with your mom and sister?" asked Steve as soon as Uncle Red had walked out of earshot. "They have like way too much enthusiasm, 'sides why'd You guys agree to having me come? I'm just in the way."
"NO!" Dan blurted defensively "you were...available...and we thought you might like it" He finished lamely.
"Sure" Steve replied doubtfully as he flicked on his ipod and jacked up the sound, so "Drum On" by House Fly blasted out.

Steve a 16 year old is left with his relatives as his father and stepmom fly out to bermuda on a new couples cruise. Steve is at first reluchant to associate with the family, but, when tradgedy strikes close to his heart, He finds a family full of love and refuge in the Watts.

Mal's Awesome Poem

YESTURDAY
When boys meant "yuck"
and friends were new
dreams were unshattered
and worries few
When recess was too short
and life too longdecisions came easy
without the need to belong
When storks delivered babies
and passions weren't so strong
friendships were unbroken
right was right, wrong was wrong
When bad things didn't happen
and only skinned knees brought tears
and the nightlight in it's socket
quieted all of our fears
When farewell meant just for summer
and real friends didn't part
and fun went on forever
and never left a broken heart

THis poem is by my Friend Mal. Who is coming to the play....Right Mal? U HAVE TO! lol Plz try

gizz the encourag-er

Gizz is an old dog. i have been going to see him at noon ever atfernoon, this week, to take him for a walk and play a bit. his 'mommy' is in england with her mom, and his 'daddy' is at work. so i fill in when i can. yeah thats really random. but i have a point. as i was walking with him today(around the block)he was just plodding along. at this point i will mention that it is rather blustery today here in burlington. i realized that because evey step he takes is a mini miracle and him walking sooo far(around the block) is an effort for him since he is so old that i should be thankful that even though im just really beggining my life i should be even more thankful that i started out with lots of energy and i can run around the block by the time he gets half way down one of the 4 lengths. yeah that was random but yeah its kinda like a realization that God made us perfect for what we have to do and complete in its time. He gave us that ability. and that still amazes me everytime i see it over and over in my every day life.

quickie-kinda

just a short post before i head on over to the desk of dread to do some math. the conncert is tonight! haha most of you know that. but anyways im excited in a quiet way. not like a crazy hyper way. excited/nervous is when im at my hyperist..lol. this concert for some reason is one that im not nervous about. it may be that i know the songs like i've lived with them for years. or perhaps its that im one of the bunch. i mean all of the ppl in my choir, 'the kid choir', chorus alive. are able to chat and relate to experiences. we all seem to get along. it seems like a big loose family! lol. in choir i used to be the shy kid who sat on the front row, due to hieght issues, and who never spoke when silence was acceptable. i've changed alot since than. some of you who i've reconnected with after many years of loose acknowledgement may not remember. since those were the times i most liked to refer to as my invisibility streak. lol. now i sing on the back row, due to more hieght issues! im not afraid to sing out even if WAY off tune the first time i do it accapella! well yes those were the years! i could fit in a swimming locker no problemo and got locked in a couple times too. reminesing(sp?) i read brittni's blog were it mentioned playing with lego and disappearing into a sort of semi realistic world were things were perfect. im still pretty atched to my lego. lol. stil buy more..lol. but i find that ever so often just digging in among the brightly coloured bricks i can sift out memories and re-play them. immersing myself in the un-realisticality of it and enjoying the care free moments of my child hood. yeah i know im not more than 13 years old but still i've come a long way and yes i do still play with lego but thats a memory link for me and i've learned all of us have these differant links and that only the true friends are the ones that opinions really matter. and wats wrong with going against the norm? most of the time i make my own styles and 'norms'. sometimes i conform to the crowd. oh my! its like 1:00 now i really gotta go! lol hope u enjoyed reading my ramblings!
